Getting Started
Tap ‘Get Started’ and choose whether you’re a patron (attending events) or a promoter (hosting events). Enter your phone number — we’ll send you a one-time verification code via SMS. Enter the code, then fill in your profile: name, email, date of birth, and country. That’s it — you’re ready to browse events and buy tickets.
Valid is currently available in Saint Lucia. We’re expanding across the Caribbean soon — including Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados, Jamaica, and more. Follow us on Instagram for announcements about new markets.
No download needed. Valid is a web app that works directly in your mobile browser — Safari, Chrome, or any other browser. Just go to validtix.com on your phone. For the best experience, you can add it to your home screen: tap the share button in your browser and select ‘Add to Home Screen.’
Buying Tickets
Browse the featured event on the home page or search for events. Tap the event to see details, then tap ‘Get Tickets.’ Select how many tickets you want (up to 5), review the price breakdown including the 3.5% processing fee, and tap ‘Pay.’ You’ll be taken to a secure Stripe payment page to enter your card details. After payment, you’ll receive a confirmation email with all your ticket numbers.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and other major credit and debit cards through Stripe. All prices are in US Dollars (USD). Your card is charged at the time of purchase.
Yes! You can purchase up to 5 tickets in a single transaction. Each ticket gets its own unique QR code. All tickets will appear in your ‘My Tickets’ section. To transfer a ticket to a friend, you can list it for resale at the same price you paid — your friend buys it, and they get their own QR code.
First, check your spam or junk folder — confirmation emails sometimes land there. Make sure the email address in your profile is correct (go to Profile to check). If you still can’t find it, your tickets are safe — go to ‘My Tickets’ in the app to see them. If tickets aren’t showing there either, contact us immediately at support@validtix.com with the email address you used and approximate purchase time.
Absolutely. We use Stripe, one of the world’s largest and most trusted payment processors, used by companies like Amazon, Google, and Shopify. When you pay, your card details are entered directly on Stripe’s secure page — Valid never sees, stores, or has access to your card number. All transactions are protected by PCI DSS Level 1 compliance, the highest level of payment security.
QR Codes & Entry
Your QR code activates exactly 2 hours before the event’s doors open time (not the show start time). You’ll receive an email notification when it activates. Before activation, you’ll see a locked placeholder showing the activation countdown.
This is our fraud prevention system working as designed. Your QR code regenerates every 30 seconds using a unique cryptographic key tied to your ticket. This means screenshots, photocopies, and forwarded QR codes are completely useless — only the live, rotating code on your phone will work at the gate. This is what makes Valid tickets so hard to counterfeit.
Check these things in order: 1) Make sure the current time is within 2 hours of the event’s doors-open time — QR codes don’t activate before that. 2) Try refreshing the page or closing and reopening your browser. 3) Make sure you have an active internet connection — the QR code needs to communicate with our servers to rotate. 4) If none of that works, contact us on WhatsApp for immediate help.
We strongly recommend charging your phone fully before the event. If your phone dies at the gate, show the event staff your ticket confirmation email (check your email on a friend’s phone if needed) with your ticket number (format: TK-XXXXX). Staff can manually verify your identity and ticket number for entry. For the smoothest experience, keep your phone charged.
No. Screenshots will not work at the venue. The QR code changes every 30 seconds, so a screenshot becomes invalid almost immediately. This is a core security feature that prevents ticket fraud. You must present the live, rotating QR code from your Valid ticket page to enter.
Reselling Tickets
Go to ‘My Tickets’, tap the ticket you want to sell, then tap ‘Resell This Ticket.’ Set your asking price (you can set any price you want). Review the commission breakdown — Valid takes 10% and you keep 90%. Tap ‘List for Sale’ and your ticket goes live on the concierge. Your ticket remains valid for your own use until someone buys it.
Valid charges a 10% commission on the sale price. For example, if you list a ticket for $100, Valid keeps $10 and you receive $90. There are no listing fees — you only pay the commission when your ticket actually sells.
Seller payouts are processed within 7 business days after the sale is confirmed. The payout goes to the payment method associated with your account. You’ll receive an email notification when your ticket sells and another when your payout is processed.
Yes, you can cancel your listing at any time before someone purchases it. Go to ‘My Tickets’, find the listed ticket, and tap ‘Cancel Listing.’ Your ticket immediately returns to your account with a fresh QR code, and you can use it to attend the event yourself.
The moment your ticket sells, your QR code is permanently deactivated — it will never work again, even if you had it open on your phone. The buyer receives a brand new ticket with their own unique QR code. This transfer is instant and irreversible. You will no longer have access to the event with that ticket.
For Promoters
Sign up and select ‘Promoter’ as your role during onboarding. From your dashboard, tap ‘Create Event’ and fill in the details: event name, description, date, doors-open time, show time, venue, location, ticket price, and capacity. Add an event image if you have one. When everything looks right, publish the event and it goes live for ticket sales immediately.
Valid does not charge promoters any fees. The 3.5% processing fee is charged to patrons on top of the ticket price you set. You receive 100% of your ticket price for every sale. For resale transactions, Valid takes a 10% commission from the resale price — this also does not come from the promoter.
Open Valid on your phone and go to the Scanner page (available from the bottom navigation for Promoter accounts). Point your phone’s camera at the patron’s QR code. A green checkmark means the ticket is valid and the patron can enter. A red X means the ticket is invalid, already used, or not yet activated. The scanner works on any phone with a camera — no special hardware needed.
Tap ‘Analytics’ in the bottom navigation. You’ll see real-time data for your events including tickets sold, revenue, fill rate, resale activity, marketing channel performance, audience demographics, and event-day check-in statistics. The dashboard updates automatically every 30 seconds during active events.
Refunds & Issues
Ticket sales on Valid are final. We do not offer refunds for change of plans, scheduling conflicts, or dissatisfaction with the event. Refunds are only issued if the event is officially cancelled by the promoter. This policy exists because Valid facilitates sales on behalf of promoters and does not control event operations.
When a promoter cancels an event, refunds are processed automatically to your original payment method within 14 business days. You do not need to take any action — the refund will appear on your card statement. If you don’t see the refund after 14 business days, contact us at support@validtix.com.
Don’t panic — this is usually a brief delay in processing. First, check ‘My Tickets’ in the app — your tickets may be there even if the confirmation email hasn’t arrived yet. If your tickets are not showing after 10 minutes, contact us immediately at support@validtix.com or WhatsApp us with your email address and the approximate time of purchase. We can verify your payment and issue your tickets manually. You will not lose your money.
